Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jeffrey Bruce Mitton which occurred suddenly on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022. Born 1964, in Sackville, NB, he is the son of Brian and Myrna (Trenholm) Mitton. Jeff worked as a Carpenter for Chapel Renovations. He enjoyed woodworking, building things, listening to music, especially Conway Twitty and spending time around a bonfire enjoying a cold beer. He was the life of the party and loved spending time with his family and friends. Jeff had a heart of gold and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, Jeff is survived by his son Christien Landry of Cap-Pele, NB; step-sons Jamie and Jake Kingston of Saint John; brothers Michael Mitton (Linda) of Shemoque, NB, Dale Mitton of Beaverbank, NS, Dennis Mitton of Sydney, NS; sisters Patti Campbell of Ontario, Theresa Boutlier (Ernest) of Cape Tormentine, NB; 3 grandchildren; good friend and co-worker Emery Chapel (Dawn); as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jeff was predeceased by his wife Catherine.
A special thank you to Sgt. Lacey Johnston, Coroner Corey Muzzerall and Emery Chapel for your kindness, care and compassion.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Jeff’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Jeff may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
