The family and friends of
Jeannie T. McCoy are sad to announce her sudden passing at her home in
Maugerville NB, on November 1st, 2022. Jeannie
was born in Doaktown NB on August 26, 1948, to her late parents,
Wilford McDuff and Lottie Chase.
Jeannie is survived by her
husband of 54 years, Clifford McCoy; brothers and sisters in law,
Helen Ladds (Bert), Thelma Rolfe, Byron McCoy (Annette); several
nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeannie will also be missed by her
canine friends, Lucky and Maggie as well as her two special cats.
In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her son James in 2019.
Jeannie was well known for being
the driver of the sanitation truck serving the citizens Geary, NB, for
many years, she was an avid Montreal Canadians fan and enjoyed
attending the Legion for a game of 45’s.
There will be no visitation or
formal funeral service at this time. A service celebrating the life of
Jeannie will be held at a later date. For those who wish to
remember Jeannie by way of a memorial donation, the family suggests
making contributions to the Carma cat rescue, or a charity of the
donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
Bishop’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Fredericton
(458-1885).
