Obituary
SMITH, Jeanette Marguerite – 84 of Sandy Point passed away peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 20th, 2022.
She was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Marguerite (Churchill) Smith. Jeanette was the last surviving member of her family.
Jeanette was a member of the Hope Wesleyan Church in Sandy Point. She enjoyed taking part in the yearly Sr. Games, the senior bowling club and was a member of the Friendship singers.
She is survived by her adopted family, Deena and Darrell Harlow, Sable River, Cynthia Harlow (Hammonds Plains), grandchildren; Jurnee Harlow (Alex Grear); Jamie (Misty Marr) Atwood, Briana, Justin & Sonya Drebot; great grandchildren; Kole, Eli, Amiah, Isaac, Jaylen, Kian, Sena and Austin; her special friend Georgie Grovestine and her church family and friends at Lake Road Apartments.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her foster brothers: Weldon (Bud) Atkinson, Jonnie (Oscar) BeLong, foster sister; Vera Anderson.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. As per Jeanette’s wishes a private burial will take place in the Port Clyde cemetery on Wednesday August 24th @ 3:00 pm.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held Wednesday August 24th at 6:30 pm from the Hope Wesleyan Church, Lake Road, Sandy Point with Pastor Joanne Ozon officiating.
