Suddenly passed on August 15, 2022 at 85 years of age. Reunited with her beloved husband Emil (2012). Beloved Mama of David Emil Gecelovsky (Lynda) and Deborah Ann Owens (Edward). Cherished Grandmother of Matthew Owens (Deyzi), Nicole Birkby (Scott), and Daralyn Quenneville (Neil). Dear Great Grandmother of Violet, Sawyer, Eddie, Sofia, Benny, and Alice. Predeceased by her parents Steve and Ethel Smidu, and her siblings Julia Szeleky (Burt), Helen Hrbak (Andy), and Mary Gero (Joe). Loving Aunt of Liz and Nancy. Irene will be dearly missed by her fur baby Molly.
If you so desire, donations may be made to the Windsor – Es Humane Society or The Lung Association.
Visiting on Thursday, August 18th, 2022 from 10am until time of Service at 1:30pm at
Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
Burial to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
