McMaster, Hugh Philip – Age 75, of North River, passed away December 3, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surrounded by family.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Daniel and Christine (MacKenzie) McMaster. He grew up in Manganese Mines.
Hughie had been employed with Domtar/Stella Jones for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a witty problem solver in all aspects of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Whooten), North River; daughters, Lisa, North River; Tammy (Dana), Crowe’s Mills; son, Kevin (Jaclyn), North River; grandchildren, Colby, Harley, Emma, Brandon, Nicholas, Michael, Daniel; siblings, Edna Crowe, Jean MacCallum, Marjorie Bryson, Isabel Baisley, Walter McMaster, Robert (Velma) McMaster, Donald McMaster.
He was predeceased by sisters, Marguerite, Ethel, Helen, Kathleen; brothers, Stanley, Ernest, Alfred, Frank; sisters-in-law, Florence, Betty, Gladys, June; brothers-in-law, Ronnie, Rufus, Lesley, Almon, Gilbert, Daniel.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Colchester East Hants Hospice Society.
