It is with saddened hearts, that the family of Gordon Robert Gark announce that he passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, his 78th Birthday. Gord is survived by his only son Gordie, his wife Dawn and their three children, William, Rebecca Houle (Chris) and Bobby (Abby). Also by his Sister Leslee Hartle (Howard), Brother Richard Gark, Brother-in-Law Jim Collez (Marg) and many nieces and nephews.
Gord was a longtime member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club and was an avid Curler. He was a member of the Ontario Curling Association, serving for many years as the Head Official. He was well respected and loved by all in the sport. Gord was a proud retired Air Force Firefighter having served 20 years in uniform. Upon retiring from the Air Force Gord was employed at Dow Chemical in Sarnia in the Fire and Security Department. Gord also spent many years farming and working in the Agricultural industry. Gord will be joining his loving wife Noella and his Parents Les and Anne Gark. The family encourages you to raise a glass of your favorite bevvy and toast a life well lived. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 7, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Those who wish to attend are asked to sign up at: signup.com/go/SKOhEaC. Internment to take place at Irwin Cemetery with a private family service. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Wounded Warriors Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
