Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gail Patricia (McHarg) Hammond, which occurred on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on January 29, 1950, she was a daughter of the late James Robert and Mary Jane (Bonner) McHarg.
Gail was an avid bingo player and loved listening to Elvis. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, of 50 years, Howard Hammond; son Howard (Jenne); daughter Crystal (Matt); brother James McHarg; sister Mary Aubie; grandchildren Brady, Jolie, Grace, and Raymond as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, donations in Gail’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
