On Sunday, July 17, 2022, Mr. John Berry, beloved husband of Shelly Berry of Calgary, Alberta, passed away at the age of 74 years.
John was born on Monday, August 18, 1947 in Sus, Kings County, NB. He moved with his family to Hamilton ON, age 4-6. Hamilton was where John graduated from High School, Graduated from Devry. At 19 he moved and settled in Calgary where he worked as a Calgary Transit Operator.
Besides his loving wife Shelly, John is also survived by his children Robert (Brenda) of Strathmore, AB; Jason (Amy) of Jaffray, BC; Jessica Berry (Chris) of Calgary; Britney (Greg Frazer) of Calgary; four grandchildren: Jonah of Jaffray, Devin of Strathmore, Cassie of Strathmore, Jaida of Calgary; his siblings: Walter Berry (Joan) of Brussels, ON; Helen (nee Berry) (Bruce Ryan) of Stoney Creek, ON; Marion Laudy (nee Berry) of Calgary; Alex (Dawn) of Hamilton, ON; nieces and nephews: Mark Berry (Kirsten), Patricia Berry (Mike), Dennis Ryan (April), David Boyko (Wendy), Crystal (nee Berry) (Jason); Jamie Berry; Brock (Lisa); and Nicole (nee Berry) (Rob).
John is predeceased by his parents Meta Marion Cormier and James Berry; and siblings Helen Ryan and Gordon Berry.
A Celebration of John’s Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 from Pierson’s Funeral Service, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. Cremation to follow.
