Obituary of Fannie Lauretta Jane Thomas
The passing of Fannie Lauretta Jane Thomas of Fredericton , NB , formerly of Stanley , NB , wife of the late William “Bill” Thomas occurred on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Shannex-Neill Hall. Born on June 25, 1921 in Ward Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick “Fred” and Lillian (Sands) Flewelling. Fannie was a great homemaker; she loved to cook and always enjoyed having her family around. She was an active member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Stanley , NB.
Fannie is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Gullison (Thomas) and Loretta Thomas; grandchildren, Kimberly Currie (Andy), Jamie Bunker (Erin), Chris Bunker (Melanie) and Jillian Daye (Scott); great grandchildren, Brittany and Brianna Currie, Brandi Daye (Terry), Linkin Daye and Townes Bunker; great great grandchildren, Sara-Mae Currie and Daxon Sacobie; special nieces, Carol Henry and Bonnie Carson; special nephew, Laurie Savage; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth, Lloyd (Margaret), Edith (Phair Coy), Freda (Gerald Thomas), Sammy (Cathleen) and Amy (Harry Savage) and her son in law, John Gullison.
A Memorial Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. Interment will take place in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Stanley , NB. For those who wish, remembrance may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
