F. George Ross, 87, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at
McNair Manor on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born in Halifax, NS, he
was the son of the late Finlay and Nora (Morash) Ross.
George retired after a fulfilling career with the Canadian
Federal Government in the Air Traffic Control Moncton Centre. He loved
to travel, with trips to Maine and his many winters spent in Florida.
He looked forward to his many morning coffee’s spent with
the guys. In his earlier years, he played Baseball, Golfed and
Curled.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Myrtle Ross; children,
Christine Cahill (Mark) and Andrew Ross; stepchildren, Shelley Damery
(Gary), Scotty Killam and Tony Killam; grandchildren, Michael and
Meghan; great grandchildren, Abigail, Jaxon, Finlay and Weston;
cousin, Ross Brown (Margaretta); members of Myrtles family; and his
many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first
wife, Carrie Ross (nee Robertson).
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm only. A Service
to Celebrate and Honour George’s life will be held from the
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 2:00
pm. Reception will follow the service in the Funeral Home Reception
Centre. Interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower
Sackville, NS.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of McNair
Manor for the excellent care given to George during his time
there.
