Eugene’s Obituary
COMEAU, Eugene Edward – Age 66 of St. Alphonse, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 10, 2022. He was born a son of the late Eddie and Esther (Robicheau) Comeau on December 1, 1955.
Eugene was a jack of all trades, and worked most of his life as an ocean fisherman and logger. He loved the outdoors, especially being in the woods, and was a big fan of professional wrestling. He had an affection for dogs, particularly beagles, and he had recently become an active supporter of the “Don’t Spray Us” movement to stop glyphosate arial sprays in Nova-Scotia. Most of all, Eugene loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laurie (Hermanson) Comeau, St. Alphonse; children, Andy Comeau, Jason Comeau (Kim) and Jennifer Comeau (Mike), all of St. Alphonse; sister, Yvonne (Kyle) Langill, and niece, Corrine (Mike) Sonia, both of Mass, USA; many cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Emile Reginald Comeau; brother-in-law, Richard Cooper; nephew, Jeffrey Cooper.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A private family funeral mass will be held in St. Alphonse Church with Rev. Hospice Akoffodji officiating at a later date.
