In Loving Memory Of
Edwin “Barry” Skrodolis
Barry passed away suddenly in Grande Prairie while away at work. It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we say goodbye.
Barry was born in Powell River, B.C. on November 27, 1961. He later moved to Ponoka at the age of 17 for work, and up until his passing he worked for Prairie Mountain. He loved playing with his “Tonka Toys” at work.
Barry enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, sitting around a campfire having beers, joking, and teasing with all that he met.
Barry is survived by his loving spouse Lue; his parents Ed and Carol; his sons Robert, Wade and Kyle; his grandchildren; his siblings, Karen (Clarke), Brian (Carla), Christine, Patricia, Kim (Wayne), Edna and Madonna; and, by other close relatives; and many dear friends who affectionately knew him as “Skrud”.
He will be dearly missed by all.
A casual Come and Go gathering and Celebration of Life will be held at the Ponoka Leland Hotel on Friday, September 9 at 3:00 p.m., where family and friends are encouraged to come and share stories and have a cold one.
