It is with saddened hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Douglas Michael Miller on November 11, 2022 at the age of 70. Doug will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Andrea. Doug is survived by his children Lisa (Mike) MacLeod and Nicole Miller, his daughter-in-law Angela Miller and his grandchildren Emma, Brooklyn, Addison and Ethan. Doug is also survived by his sisters Marjorie (Mike) Seman, Barbara McLeod and Dianne Matthews and a large extended family.
Doug was predeceased by his son Jason, grandson Dylan, brother William, sisters Rose and Joanne and his parents Walter and Janet.
Doug was born in Windsor but spent many of his early years on the shores of Lake Erie. He met the love of his life and together they embarked on their awesome journey! Doug settled in Sarnia and worked at Imperial Oil as a machinist. Doug spent many hours tinkering in the garage fixing or building things. Doug’s love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable! He could be found at many arenas, sports fields and gymnasiums cheering them on. His family was his life.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
