David Ellsworth 2022

After a brief and courageous battle with cancer, in his 74th year, David Ellsworth left this world peacefully. Born in Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland to Wilson Leonard Ellsworth and Jean Pardy. He passed surrounded by his loving wife Jane of fifty-three years, his son Jeff (Lisa) and his daughter Jennifer (Alan).
David was a proud grandfather and cherished his grandchildren Madelyn, Jackie, Caitlin, Kerr, Ailin and Emerson. Spending time with his family and friends was always a top priority. He was kind, generous and sensitive to the needs of others. David was quick to volunteer his time to enrich the lives of many people, from coaching several years of hockey and baseball to frequently dressing up as Santa Claus for Christmas parties to the delight of young and old.
David was highly respected by his co-workers and proud of the many long-lasting relationships that evolved from his career at Ontario Hydro. He retired in 2002 a Manager of Human Resources and Support services content with his success and accomplishments. After a brief post retirement stint consulting for Hydro, he embraced retirement occupying his days with family, golf, travel, volunteer work and winters spent in Florida.
