Obituary
David John Cowieson born February 14 1955 passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2022 while vacationing in Toronto. He had traveled by train from his home in Vancouver to visit with family and friends.
David was born in Toronto, son of Glen and Mary, brother to Susan (deceased), Wendy and Cindy and uncle to four nieces and one nephew.
David grew up in Belleville, Ontario and Burlington; then headed to Toronto to work in the security sector. He was a long time and loyal employee of Paladin Security both in Toronto and Vancouver.
When David was young, he learned to play the accordion and would often be set up in the foyer to perform for family, delighting his beloved Nanny and taking requests for favorite songs.
David lived simply, loved a daily visit to Tim Hortons for a steeped tea, kept in touch with family and friends, and enjoyed driving a luxury car. He never forgot a birthday and had a keen memory for names, dates, and addresses.
His birthday was always spent at the Keg Restaurant having a Prime Rib dinner with a friend. He knew all the best places for homestyle meals and comfort foods.
He had recently begun to travel with his friend Ron and was looking forward to retirement, hoping to spend winters somewhere warm.
He will be missed and remembered by many. A special thank you to Edna for her care and hospitality when David was inToronto.
