Darcy Dean Rickard
May 1974 – November 8, 2022
Beloved grandson of the late Mrs. Laura Rickard of Moose Factory, Ontario, Darcy passed away suddenly in Barrie, Ontario. He is remembered by his parents, brothers, wife, children, grandchildren, aunt, uncle, and his many cousins. He is predeceased by his brother Terry, grandmother, uncles, and his loving aunt Mrs. Eva Lazarus. His Aunt Eva reminded us that forgiveness is always needed in the face of human frailty and mistakes.
Darcy was a child of the 80s and loved his rock bands including Guns n Roses. He was a fan of the Ottawa Senators. As we would say in Cree, he was an alimas – he always enjoyed fun times with his mischievous cousins and friends. A favourite saying of his was “don’t dwell, don’t assume – just live.” Funeral services and burial are planned for Moose Factory, Ontario.
