Coreen Elizabeth Smith 2022

Obituary of Coreen Elizabeth Smith
Coreen Elizabeth (Drinkwalter) Smith passed away peacefully in her 99th year, with family by her side, at Wildwood Care Centre on August 9, 2022.
She was a loved mother-in-law of Della, and adored Granny of Dwain (Nancy), Tammy (Dave), Troy, and Trevor. She will always be the cherished great-Granny of Brittany (Kevin), Michael (Whitney), Zachary (Cass), Chad (Steph), Tanner (Victoria), Cierra, Logan, and Sydney, and was a great-great-Granny of Bentley, and soon-to-be baby Bilyea. Granny leaves behind many nieces and nephews in the Smith and Drinkwalter families.
Coreen was predeceased by the love of her life Ralph “Poppie”, her daughter Carlene (sons-in-law Don and Edwin), and her son Barry, as well as all of her siblings and their spouses.
Coreen was a lifetime resident of Downie Township. For many years, she was a valued driver of children with special needs for Murphy Bus Lines at Anne Hathaway Public School in Stratford. She was an active member of the Community of Christ Church in Stratford. Granny always brought life and laughter to gatherings with family and friends, and hugs were a trademark of her love for others.
Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Gatfield, and to Scott Walsh and the amazing staff at Wildwood Care Centre who took great care of our Granny while she was with you. We are also blessed and grateful to have had Brittany and Della be our family hands-on care for Granny.
Coreen has been cremated and a private family service will take place at a later date at the St. Marys Cemetery, with her nephew Robert Smith officiating.
In memory of Granny, please give a hug to those around you!

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Coreen
