Warren was an avid and successful soccer player who had the chance to play for Toronto Blizzard for a couple of years before joining the Cambridge Galt Eagles for the remainder of his soccer years. Many happy memories were made on the soccer field. Warren began in housekeeping at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, later becoming a porter and then on to begin his career as an ambulance attendant/paramedic. He was a long-serving and dedicated employee of both Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Kirkland & District Hospital ambulance base as a paramedic, where he was well known for introducing in Canada, the use of teddy bears to be carried in the ambulance to aid in calming children. Warren will be remembered for the difference he made in this world and in the lives of the people he touched with his huge soft loving heart and sense of humour.
In keeping with Warren’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Warren’s life with family and friends will take place at a later date. Donations in Warren’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society.
