Clara Margaret
Green, 75, of Highland Crest Home, Antigonish, and formerly of
Linwood, passed away suddenly at St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital on November 24, 2022. Clara was born September 21, 1947, to
the late Willy DeLorey & Theresa
Pettipas.
Clara worked
for over 30 years at the Cove Motel as a cook and was very passionate
about her job. She was an animal lover and avid puzzle
maker. She liked playing Bingo with her late mother with
whom she held a special bond. She loved her grandchildren with all
heart and was excited to become a great-grandmother in April
2023.
Survived by
her sons, Rodney, Antigonish, and Danny (Rachel), Linwood;
grandchildren, Keagan (Brea) Butler, Antigonish, and Jagger and Reef
Green, Linwood; siblings, John (Susan) DeLorey, Gerard (Darlene)
DeLorey, and Norma Green (Jackie Boudreau), all of Linwood, and Lynne
DeLorey (Joe MacDonald), Port Hood; many sisters-and-brothers-in-law,
and nieces and nephews.
Besides her
parents, predeceased by her stepfather Johnny DeLorey; husband, Tom
Green; and godfather, Jimmy
DeWolfe.
Cremation has
taken place. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street,
Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:30am in
St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, with Fr. John Barry
presiding. Burial in Grosvenor
Cemetery.
