Cecil’s Obituary
Bourque, Cecil John, age 67 of Amirault’s Hill passed away on October 19th, 2022, after a brief illness with his family by his side at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. He was predeceased by parents Camille & Roseanna Bourque (née Amirault). He leaves behind his loving wife Myra Bourque (née Landry), children; Mark (Josette), Tyler (former daughter-in-law Alanna), Jolyn (Jakub), grandchildren Ivan and Marlo, siblings; Maynard (Barbara), Joyce (Peter), Brian (Marie-Louise), Paula (Giles), Curtis (Pam) and many nieces and nephews.
Cecil was always ready to lend a hand to help anybody and everybody. He spent most of his working life as a consumer service technician with Bell Aliant. In retirement he enjoyed many adventures with his grandson Ivan, boating, birdwatching, camping, cooking for the family, drives with Myra, hunting, kayaking, riding his 4-wheeler, swimming, watching sports and yarning with his buddies at Malcolm’s every morning.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. with payers at 7 P.M, in Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday October 27,2022 at 2 pm from Holy Family Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Albéni d’Entremont officiating. Interment will follow in parish cemetery.
He will be dearly missed and loved but never forgotten by family, friends and his beloved cat Raj. The family would like to thank the great staff at YRH for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Ste. Famille cemetery fund or your charity of choice.
