McCann, Carl Daniel (Danny)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Danny McCann of Three Tree Creek, NB announce his unexpected passing at home on August 26, 2022. Danny is the son of the late Ellen (Hogan) and Gerald McCann and is the loving husband of Cathy (Carr) McCann.
Along with his wife, Danny is also survived by his four sons; Nick (Nicole), Greg (Ashley), Kendall and Ryan (Paige) McCann, two sisters; Shirley (George) Boyle and Ann (Dean) Mott, a brother Jerry (Debbie) McCann, two grandchildren; John and Charlotte McCann, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Danny worked as a Powerline Technician for NB Power for over 37 years, and even after retiring, he would make himself available to work during big power outages in Canada and the U.S. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 and the Gladstone Curling Club. Danny was a kind, fun loving man with a big smile for anyone he met. In his spare time, he loved to fish and golf, and spent as much time as possible with family and friends at his camp. Danny had great joy spending time with John and Charlotte. From fishing to picking potatoes it was always an adventure and they were the light of his life.”
Along with his parents, Danny is predeceased by three brothers; Cedric, Phillip and Kevin as well as a sister in law Tina.
Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville for Visitations on Tuesday August 30, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at 1pm from St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Peter Osborne officiating. Burial at St. Columba Catholic Cemetery will take place following the ceremony. The family would appreciate any donations in Danny’s name to the St. Columba Catholic Church Cemetery or the Knights of Columbus, or a charity of their choice.
