Betty’s Obituary
Little, Betty Pearl ~ age 85, of Margaretsville, passed away April 29, 2022, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born April 3, 1937, to parents Kenneth and Ivy (Dooks) Aldred, Betty lived her entire life in the Margaretsville area. She attended school in East Margaretsville and graduated from MRHS, Middleton in 1954. Betty worked as a switchboard operator for Maritime Tel & Tel until she was married. Married in 1957 to Aubrey Little, she became mother to children, Karen Gayle (Steven) Allen, Kenneth Guy (Adele), and Seldon Gordon (Kim). Betty worked 23 years at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton, 12-8 on the switchboard and admitting. Loves of Betty’s life were her family, friends, home, church, community and four legged members of the dog world. Betty/Mom/Nan was always happiest when she was helping members in her community or getting events ready, whether it be organizing a fundraiser, collecting the money at the door, greeting everyone, calling about upcoming lobster dinners, or making sure things kept running in the kitchen. She also enjoyed taking trips out to the south shore with Aubrey in their RV when they retired with their four legged companion or just day drives which were always somewhere around the south shore as well. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Aubrey; daughter, Karen (Steven) Allen, Margaretsville; sons, Kenneth (Adele) Little, Margaretsville, and Seldon (Kim) Little, Margaretsville; grandchildren, Ashley (Adam), Waterville; Whitney (Will), Oromocto, NB; Chaunce (Andrea), Nictaux; Matthew (Mary), Bishop Mtn; Lisa Craven, Canmore, AB; Kim (Justin), Ellershouse; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Liam, Peyton, Morgan, Mackenzie, Madden, Emily, Koen and Kinsley; sister, Beulah Heath (Lloyd), Comox, BC. Betty was predeceased by her parents. The family would like to thank the staff of Grand View Manor for their kindness and care, it had been her home for the past 18 months. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. Rev. Valerie Taylor officiating. A livestream of the service will be available to view beginning at 10:55 am ADT by selecting the “livestream” option at the top of the funeral home’s website.
