Barbara’s Obituary
Barbara Joan Tattrie – 85, Tatamagouche.
After an ongoing battle with her illness, Barbara Joan Tattrie passed away peacefully on August 21, 2022 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Clarence “Bud” Tattrie. Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy May Tattrie (Philip), Tatamagouche.
Barbara had been separated from her birth family when she was only two weeks old, but many years later, Barbara was reunited again with her birth siblings through her loving sister, Huena, who never stopped trying to find her older sister, Barbara.
Barbara was a member of Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche and enjoyed singing with the choir and the Tatamagouche Area Singers. She worked in commercial transportation for many years, as a delivery driver as well as driving school bus.
Barbara had six brothers, Arnold, Michael, Charles, George, William and James; three sisters, Bonnie, Huena, Joanne. Her birth mother was Elma Beattie and her adoptive parents were Frank and Helena Hilliard.
A special thank you to the various Hospitals, Doctors and Nurses, especially the VON who cared for Barbara over the years.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 29 at 2pm in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche with Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Reception will follow in Hills of Annand – Roach Hall. Private family interment in French River Cemetery.
