Mary “Argie” Rust
July 26, 1924 ~ November 19, 2022
RUST – Saturday, November 19, 2022; Mrs. Mary Argentine Rust, late of Birch Hills, passed away peacefully at Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino at the age of 98 years.
Argie was born on July 26, 1924 to Eugene and Julienne (Dubois) Letendre. She spent her early years in the Batoche and Hoey area. Argie was devoted to her family and those she met throughout her long and memorable life. Her faith in God was the foundation that she steadfastly built her life upon. Argie was blessed to have found two loves in her life, Carl Watts and Halsten Rust. She had many interests including a love of gardening, various handicrafts, cooking, cake decorating and many more.
Argie will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends for her hospitality. All were welcome in her home for great conversation, a show and tell of her latest creations and amazing meals. She leaves to mourn her passing; her four sons, Tom (Yvette) Watts, Jack (Lynn) Watts, Harold (Joyce) and Maynard; a daughter Karen (Joseph) Wendt; six grandchildren, Jack Watts Junior, Kim (Warren) Harris, Erik (Kelsey), Halsten (Miranda), Jenya and Naomi; sister-in-law Eleanor Letendre; brothers Maurice Letendre, Clifford Letendre and Andre Letendre; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Argie was predeceased by her parents; Eugene and Julienne Letendre, husbands; Carl Watts and Halsten Rust, brothers; Maxime Letendre, Moise Letendre, Henri Letendre, Odias Letendre, Charlie Letendre, Don Letendre and Leo Letendre, sisters; Alice Letendre, Therese Wong, Clarise Fong, Lorraine Boese, Diane Waddell and Cecile St. Germaine, and granddaughters; Annelise and Hanna.
The family would like to thank the staff at Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino for their compassionate care and love.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Saron Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Haugen officiating. Interment will follow at Saron Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of tributes, donations may be made to Saron Lutheran Church.
