Albert Verge 1948 2022

It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Albert Philip Thomas Verge,
age 74, of Amherst, NS. Albert passed away on Thursday,
December 1, 2022 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care
Centre.
Born in Botwood, Newfoundland, Albert
was the son of the late William and Shirley (Conway)
Verge.
Albert was an avid sportsman, and
enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He liked time
with his friends and family, especially out at the camp. He
worked very hard, and was a licensed Oil Burner Mechanic, working on
many furnaces around Cumberland.
He will be dearly missed by his wife
Sheila (Lees), Amherst; his daughter Tanya Burke, Amherst; 2
grandchildren, Christopher Burke (Angie) and Samantha Burke (Josh),
all of Amherst, their father Leon Burke, Amherst; mother in law Susie
Lees, Amherst; furbabies Butterscotch, Spanky, and
Sophia.
He was predeceased by his infant sister;
father in law Robert Lees; sister Blanche Bird, June Verge and brother
Ed Verge.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre,
Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777). In keeping with Albert’s
wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
Donations in memory of Albert may be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your
choice.
