William “Oliver” MacDonald
1937-2021
Suddenly at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday,
January 1, 2021 of William “Oliver” MacDonald of West Point
aged 83, beloved husband of 62 years to Anna (nee Shaw). Born
in West Point on February 21, 1937, son of the late William &
Lulu (Bulger) MacDonald.
Cherished dad to Joanne MacDonald, Cape Wolfe; Nancy MacLean
(Ken MacLeod), Tracadie Cross; Wayne (Pamela), Ottawa, ON and Rachel
(Roger) Millar, Freeland. Loving granddad to Vanessa Poirier,
Jacquetine Bulger, Blaise Bulger, Brandy Lee MacLean, Anthony MacLean,
Matthew MacLean, Liam MacDonald, Alanna Millar, Brandon Millar and his
great grandchildren Marah, Sandy, Claire, Benson and
Brielle.
Oliver is also survived by his sister Carol Ann (Harvey)
Collicutt, and step brothers and sisters Linda (Ed) Deschene, Wonnita
MacDonald, Debbie (Donald) MacArthur, Gary MacDonald, Mary Rose
Larter, Jean (Andre) Gallant, Louis (Etta) Ellsworth and Bill (Jean)
Ellsworth and brothers and sisters in law, Rena Smith, Marie Welsh,
Margaret (Ray) Dumville and Fraser (Hazel) Shaw.
Predeceased by his parents, granddaughter Elish MacDonald,
sister Marie Blanchard, brothers Edison and Willis.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with private family arrangements due to Covid
restrictions. Interment in West Point Presbyterian
Cemetery.
In memory of Oliver, memorials to West Point Presbyterian
Cemetery (mailed to Paul Daley, 74 Cedar Dunes Park Road, O’Leary RR2,
C0B 1V0) would be appreciated.
