Wilfred Arnold Schaeffer January 17th 2021

On January 17, 2021, Wilfred Arnold Schaeffer passed away peacefully at home with family by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Magdelina Schaeffer.
Wilfred is survived by his loving wife and best friend Bernice; daughters Janet Schaeffer and Nicole Schaeffer; three granddaughters Raistlin, Trista and Katia; two stepsons Ian (Margaret) Haynes and Scott Haynes; and his sidekick Bailey. He is also survived by his brother Raymond (Lorette) Schaeffer; his sisters Isabel Krushelniski and Joanne (Bob) Erwin; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Wilf was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was raised on a family farm near Odessa, Saskatchewan. He made Regina his home where he raised two beautiful daughters.
Wilf always kept himself active with many projects over the years and appreciated the outdoors. He enjoyed camping at Regina Beach for several years and then 8 years at Katepwa Campground. He spent many hours around campfires with friends and plenty of coffee get-togethers.
Wilf worked many years as a proud sheet metal worker, first working at Balzers for 8 years and then 35 years with Edco Plumbing & Heating until his retirement. He was a proud Sheet Metal Workers’ Union member for 50 years.
He was an honest and straightforward man of great character with an infectious laugh and always willing to lend a hand. He will be missed by so many friends and family. RIP Wilf, until we meet again.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society (www.reginahumanesociety.ca) .
