Violet’s Obituary
Porteous, Violet Louise: (Francis) – 67, of Milton, Queens County passed away peacefully on July 15, 2021, at the Queens General Hospital, Liverpool with her sister, Shirley and her friend, Avis Johnson by her side. Born in Sandy Point on May 7, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Emerson and Helen (Morton) Francis. Violet enjoyed her walks at the Pine Grove Park in Milton and spending time with her friends. She is survived by sons, Gerald (Josephine) (Josee), Bernie (Daniel); brother, Gary (Ola); half brothers, Hector (Frances), Ray (Ata); sisters, Mavis (Stewart), Shirley (Alva); half sister. Loretta; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Shenda; sisters, Sharon, Connie; brothers, Vernon (twin brother), Jackie; half brother, Wilson. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses on the medical floor at the Queens General Hospital for their compassionate care. Also special thank you to friends Marlene and Laurie for being there for her. Arrangements are under the direction of the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd., Barrington. As per Violet’s wishes there was no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of choice.
