Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Parenteau, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who passed away March 12, 2021 at the age of 74 after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Victor was born July 13, 1946 and grew up in Batoche. He met the love of his life Theresa, they were married July 18, 1964 and together lovingly and proudly raised 3 children. With his children he instilled a strong sense of family and always put them first.
Victor had a strong work ethic and worked at Weyerhaeuser for 37 years until his retirement on Dec 30, 2005.
Victor always enjoyed life to the fullest and you could always find him outdoors whether it be hunting, weeks spent at the bear camp, fishing or snowmobiling. Victor was also active in the chuckwagon association growing up racing chuckwagons and chariots along with his son until he retired from the sport, however that didn’t stop him from helping Todd, you could always find him walking, feeding or harnessing up the team to get ready for a race.
His other pride and joy were his grandchildren, you could always find him at the hockey rinks, or baseball fields cheering them on, and later his great grand children. He was always so proud of all the accomplishments they had achieved.
Victor will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years Theresa (nee McDougall), his daughters Wanda (Mike) Johansen of Regina, Cheryl (Wayne) Fiddler of Prince Albert. His grandchildren Michelle (Travis) Fox, Tyler (Dana) Fiddler, Justin Johansen & Kyle Fiddler. His great grandchildren Rowen, Ryleigh & Emerson.
Victor was predeceased by his son Todd Parenteau, parents Romuald and Natalie Parenteau, Sister Ezilda and brother-in-law Stanley Fidler, in laws Ernest and Leonie Mcdougall and brothers- in-law Elmer & Sid Mcdougall.
