Arbour, Victor (1936-2021)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday June 3rd, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Albert Arbour and of the late Laurancia Poirier. Predeceased by his ever loved and never forgotten wife Yvonne Arbour (née Guénette). Much loved father of Normand (Diane) and Carmen Giroux (Robin) and his late daughter Brigitte. Victor will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Patrick, Nathalie , Yves, Lynne , Benoit and Sophie as well as by his great grandchildren Emma, Cameron, Kaleb and Pascal. Born into a family of thirteen children in Lavigne, Victor is survived by one brother Jean Paul (Estelle) and one sister Lorraine Cosgrove. He is predeceased by his ten other siblings Edgar, Blanche Rainville, Yvette Perreault, Anita Rainville, Berthé, Sinai, Marcelin, Ernest, Dollard and Émérien. Admired by all for his great smile, his unconditional love for his family and his jovial spirit, Victor was community minded and participated in many organizations that benefited the village of Lavigne such as the Knights of Columbus, Paroisse Notre Dame de la Visitation and the local seniors club. Due to pandemic conditions, a funeral mass and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements in care of the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Verner.
