Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Velma at the age of 81, at Wellington Park LTC Centre in Burlington, Ontario.
Former wife of Pierre Michael Pelletier. Widow of Douglas Russell since 2019.
Predeceased by her parents George Millar and Youville (Marenger). She was the “baby” of 10, preceded in death by her siblings Ray Millar (the late Emily), Glenna Millar, Harley Millar (Jeannie) ,Leonard Millar (Laurette), Hubert Millar (Antoinette) ,Reggie Millar (Annette) and Mavis Morin (the late Palma). Left to mourn her loss are her adored siblings Della Height (the late Malcolm)and Melvin Millar (Doreen).
The most loving mother of 5, she endured the loss of son Brian (Rose.d) in 2013 and daughter Diane (Jake.d) in 2018. She will forever live on in the hearts of Benny, Sandy (Graham) and Tina (Mark).
Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jason (Candice), Kristy, Kevin (Shannon), Chad (Dana), Patrick (Jooyoung Lee), Shannon (Brad), Harry and Haelee.
She treasured her great-grandbabies Kaitlin (Patrick), Mackenzie, Jewels, Zakiya and Zayn. Auntie V will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you goes out to the caring and compassionate staff at Wellington Park LTC Centre.
A celebration of Velma’s life will take place at a later date.
God has her in his hands, we have her in our hearts.
