Passed peacefully, after a short illness, at the QEH, Wednesday, Nov 03,2021, surrounded by his family J. Thomas “Tom” Gill aged 73 years of Vernon River, PEI
Loving husband of 49 years to Nancy (Hogan) Gill and cherished father to Lauren Gill (Kenny), Carson (Kimberley), Leah Buick (Dave) and Kelsey MacDonald (Joel).
Very proud Grampy to Alex, Ben and Thomas O’Brien; John and Norah Gill; Hadley and Gillian MacDonald; Charlotte and Baby Buick.
Loving brother to Regina Perry (Clair), Gavan (Brenda), Mary Nevis Meyers (Lorne), Richard (Elizabeth), Eugene (Donna), Robert (Filly) and Shannon Boyce (David). Survived by sisters-in-law Mary Basil, Marie McMannus, Elaine Pat and Elaine David. Beloved son of the late Anne (Donahoe) and Raymond Gill. Predeceased by brothers Edward, George, Patrick and David Gill.
For over 50 years, Tom earned a stellar reputation as an accomplished construction contractor. He made many friends in the industry and had many satisfied clients. He built well and delivered on time. He was still looking at building plans while in the hospital.
Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home from where a public visitation will be held (Vax Pass required) on Saturday from 3-6 pm. Funeral Mass will be held by invitation only due to current COVID restrictions. Interment in St. Joachim’s Parish Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared on Tom’s memorial page. Memorial donations may be made online to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or St. Joachim’s Restoration Fund.
