Timothy K Donovan July 14 2021

Obituary
– It is with a faith filled hopeful sadness that the family announces the passing of Timothy Kirk Donovan which occurred at Shannex-Tucker Hall on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021. Born 1951, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Robert and Laura (Vautour) Donovan. If you were a student in the Saint John area in the 80’s and 90’s Tim likely made you smile. As the leading school photographer in the city for many years, he made a living with a gift to make people smile naturally with his fun-loving presence and silly sense of humour. He probably made you say something like “fuzzy pickle” “stinky feet” or some other nonsense to create incredible school memories in your year books. Tim was a faithful Christian ordained for ministry in 2017 after serving the church for many years. He never missed an opportunity to encourage others and volunteered working with youth and as a member of the Fredericton Junction Volunteer Fire Department. Tim won the Queen’s Jubilee medal in 2012.
Tim is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mary (Shephard) of 48 years; son Drew Donovan (Amy) of Sus, NB; daughter Tanya Morrison (Mike) of Hanwell, NB; brothers Stephen of Halifax, Paul, Tony of Kamloops, BC, Sean (Donna) of Winnipeg, MB, Shane (Christine) of Welland, ON, Darrell of Oshawa, ON and Darren (Laura Lee) of Spruce Grove, AB; sisters Tina (Kenneth) of Trenton, ON, Cathy of Prince George, BC and Roberta (Bruce) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Abigail, Adam, Eric, Isaac, Niah & Elias; friend Peter Guthrie of Grand Bay-Westfield; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Tim was predeceased by his sister Iris.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, July 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at Saint John First Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, July 20th at 1 p.m. followed by an interment at Brown’s Flat Cemetery. The service will be live streamed on the Saint John First Wesleyan Facebook page and shared by family online. Donations in memory of Tim may be made to the Fredericton Junction Volunteer Fire Department, Catons Island or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
