Obituary of Theresa May Gautreau
It is with broken hearts the family of Theresa May Gautreau, widow of the late Harold Joseph Gautreau, wish to announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Rocmaura Nursing Home, with her family by her side. Born in 1929, Theresa was a daughter of the late Basil and Gertrude (Ross) Gautreau.
Theresa is survived by one son, Fred ( Maria) Gautreau of Langley B.C., daughters, Laylia (Jeff ) Nice of Glenwood, N.B., Holly ( Don) Noble of Rothesay, N.B., and Karen Gautreau, of Saint John, N.B., 9 grandchildren, Lanaya, Michel and Courtney; Philip, Joey, Tamara and Chadwick;Adam and Scott, as well as 5 great grandchildren. Also included are her remaining siblings, Len, Ralph, Eva, Elsie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Being among the eldest of her siblings, Thereas developed her hard working and family ethics from helping raise her younger siblings. She could be always found smiling, humming or singing a song. Though she wourked outside the home for short periods of time, her heart was always being a homemaker and nurturing anyone who needed her. Her favorite pasttimes were anything musical, from singing, dancing or playing guitar at the family reunions. Because of her closeness to her siblings, it was second naturefor her to extend warm and loving hospitality to friends and strangers alike.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 21, 2021 from 11:00AM to 2:00 PM. Interment will be followed at Holy Cross Cemetery, Sand Cove Rd.Donations to Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www. castlefh.ca
