At Trillium Health Partners – Mississauga Hospital on the morning of Saturday, December 25, 2021, Theresa Yvonne Thompson (nee Tardif) of Etobicoke passed away in her 81st year after suffering a stroke just two days earlier. Theresa is predeceased by her husband of 42 years Michael O’Connor Thompson. Mother of Richard Thompson, the late Frank Thompson, and Kimberly Ranieri and her husband Frank. Grandmother of Cameron, Matthew, Emily, and Samantha. Great-Grandmother of Sira. Sister of late brother John Tardif, brother Claude Tardif, sister Madeleine Baxter with her late husband Bill, late brother James Tardif, brother Gaston Tardif with wife Corinne, sister Gisele Hall with late husband Basil, and brother Michael Tardif with wife Leslie.
Theresa was a retired elementary school special education teacher with a master’s degree in Psychology. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and scrapbooking.
Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke, (at 14th Street), on Wednesday, December 29 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral to be held on Thursday, December 30, 3 pm at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, 100 Tenth St., Toronto. . Interment of ashes at St. Patrick’s Church, Kearney, Ontario (in the spring).
