Obituary
After a courageous battle with cancer, Susan Guild passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021, surrounded by all that loved her. Susan was very special and brought joy and laughter into the family. She taught us how to be kind and love each other even with our differences.
Susan loved to sing and dance, and one of her favorite songs was ‘Surfing USA’. She also found a passion for painting through the “National Access Arts Centre” previously known as Indefinite Arts. Susan spent many years bowling with Special Olympics and looked forward to it every week. She also participated in ‘Between Friends’ the last few years where she took up gardening and joining her friends at the movies.
Susan’s favorite places were Camp Horizon where she had many friends and Sylvan Lake where she spent time with family. She would talk about camp months before she would attend and tell us all the fun activities she was going to participate in.
Susan was born on November 29, 1951, to Harrison and Lorna Guild. She was predeceased by her father Harrison. Susan leaves behind her mother Lorna; brothers Charles and Doug (Sandy); her nephew Kyle (Gina); and her niece Sara (Jesse). She also leaves behind Jane and Jenn who have treated her like family while giving her the best possible care in her last few months. We will be forever grateful.
We also want to thank the staff at Vantage Enterprises for all their support.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of the organizations Susan participated in – Camp Horizon, Special Olympics, National Access Arts Centre, or Between Friends.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Susan Guild November 29 1951 May 13 2021 (age 69)..
