Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday July 29, 2021 Mrs. Styntje (Drost) (de Weerd) Peters of Clinton. Styntje was born in Meppel, The Netherlands on September 27, 1930. Beloved wife of the late Jan de Weerd (1979) and the late Arie Peters (2013). Loving mother of Ralph & Ann de Weerd, Ken & Robyn de Weerd, Trudy & Ross MacDonald, Janice de Koning & Fred Schatz, Tim de Weerd & Yan Zhang, Diane & Don Dimaline, Janet & Ralph Kuiper, and John de Weerd. Cherished by her 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Also loved and missed by 6 sisters, 1 sister in law and 5 brothers in law. Remembered fondly by many others in the de Weerd, Drost, and Peters family across Canada and The Netherlands. Predeceased by her parents Koob & Jantje Drost, son in law Jake de Koning, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 brothers in law. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes 153 High St., Clinton on Thursday August 5, 2021 from 2 -4 & 7-9 p.m. All those wishing to attend the visitation must register with the funeral home online or via phone 519-482-9521. Masks must be worn inside during the visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the Clinton Christian Reformed Church, 243 Princess St. E., Clinton, on Friday August 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. Attendance will be limited, for those who may wish, the family invites you to view the service via livestream by following link www.clintonchristianreformedchurch.ca/ Interment to follow at Clinton Cemetery.
