Steven Hilchie July 24 2021

Hilchie, Steven – The family of Steven Hilchie, 68, of Enfield are deeply saddened to announce his passing on July 24, 2021 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre with his family by his side.
Born in Waverley, Steven was the youngest son of the late Muriel Jean and Victor Hilchie. Steven worked for himself for many years and then went on to Conrad Bros. and the Halifax International Airport. He loved classic cars “Fords Only”, and had restored many over the years. Steven was known for his quick wit and always liked to tease and laugh. Steven could not go anywhere without knowing someone. He loved to travel all the back roads and watch for finds in yards or garages. Steven will be greatly missed by his dogs, Lucy and Bubbles and his cats, Whitey & Squeaky.
Steven is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane (Ryan) Hilchie; son, Justin (Hailey Messervey), Enfield; daughter, Lindsay (Brent Smith), Lawrencetown; special granddaughter, Georgia; sister, Mary Jean (John Stuart), Fall River; and many cousins whom he was very close with.
The family would like to thank the many staff at Colchester East Hants Health Centre and the Palliative Care Team who took wonderful care of Steven and his family at a very difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 31st in Waverley Legion, 2234 Rocky Lake Drive, Waverley from 1-4 p.m.
Any donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Parkinson Society Nova Scotia.
