SONIA HELEN STELMACK NEE TYSOSKI 2021

October 19, 1947 ~ February 13, 2021
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Sonia at the age of 73 years. Today we lost a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Remaining to forever cherish Sonia’s memory is her loving husband Bill, sons Greg and Curt (Dana); grandchildren Paige and Jaxon, also many nieces and nephews. She is survived by sisters Olga, Evelyn, Janet and was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Carol, brothers Frank, Russell, Tony and Borden and sister Mary.
Sonia was very proud of her sons. They would do anything for her and especially very proud of her two grandchildren.
Out of school Sonia went to Mountain Road as a permit teacher for one year then taught school at Zhoda Franco School, then left for Winnipeg to work at Continental Life Insurance, Athlete’s Wear, Greater Winnipeg Gas Co. Then moving to Beausejour she continued her career as a day care worker, later becoming a Director of Day Care Centre in Pinawa and at Dugald Day Care.
After retiring she loved her gardening, her flowers and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed belonging to Red Hatters and going for lunches and special occasions with her friends who were very dear to her.
Many thanks to Dr. Schmidt and medical staff for taking care of Sonia while at the Beausejour Hospital.
A private family service to be held at a later date.
