1928-2021
Passed away at his home in Cambridge, Ontario surrounded by
his loving family on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at age 92 years. Born on
Belle Island, Newfoundland, beloved husband for 62 years to June
Ivany. Loving father of Brenda Welsh (Tony), Rick Ivany
(Michelle Walsh) and Darlene Ivany. Cherished grandfather of
Angel Lecoure (Matthew), Starr Ivany, Ricky Walsh and Great –
grandfather of Matthew Lecoure. Also survived by
his brother Walter Ivany (Patricia) and sister Miriam Bickford, other
relatives and many friends. Predeceased by his parents
Walter and Clara Ivany and daughter Audrey Haines. Silas
also served in what was known as the Canadian Army as a young
man. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private
funeral service will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, Cambridge,
Ontario (519)-740-0669 with burial to follow at Parklawn Cemetery,
Cambridge, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, donations to
a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the
family.
