DARBY, SARAH
Sarah Elizabeth Darby entered into rest very peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the age of 60. She was a kind soul with a huge heart. She shall be remembered for her big smile and hearty laugh. She spent her career in HealthCare allowing her to show love and compassion to others. Sarah was born in London, England on August 23, 1961 and moved to Neilburg, Saskatchewan in 1966 with her 2 adventure seeking parents and her little brother Paul. 2 years in Saskatchewan was enough of Canada for the Darby’s so they decided to move back to England but stopped in Brockville “briefly” as it was halfway home to England. Sarah and her family fell in love with Brockville and therefore never made it “home” to England. Brockville was to be their forever home. Sarah’s work took her to Toronto and Kingston and she was also an avid traveler taking many trips to the Caribbean and Europe. She will be greatly missed by her mother Maureen and brothers Paul (Lynn) and Tom (Laura), she leaves uncles, aunts and cousins in England who she loved dearly and Sarah was especially fond of her 2 nephews Stuart and Mitchell of Kingston Mills. She was predeceased by her loving father Tony in 1994. Sarah will also be missed by many friends, most she knew and laughed with for decades.
Family and friends are invited to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St. E., Brockville on Thursday, December 30th at 11:00 am in the chapel followed by a reception. Covid protocol will be followed requiring all guests to register RSVP online or by calling our office 613-342-2828 between 9 am to 4:30 pm.
