April 4, 1952 – September 25, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce on September 25, 2021, Sandra Lynn Warnke lost her battle with cancer at the age of 69 in Wetaskiwin.
Sandra was born on April, 4, 1952 in Wetaskiwin to Irvin and Ida Taje. Sandra went to school and worked all her life in Wetaskiwin; she married Duane Warnke on April 26, 1974.
She leaves behind her loving husband Duane; daughters, Lynelle (Kevin) Zorniak, and Alana (Jarret) Asham; grandchildren, Hudson Asham, Sophie and Stella Zorniak; sister Audrey (Harold) Maciborski; mother-in-law, Ruby Warnke; aunt, Alice Burghardt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents Irvin and Ida Taje and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sandra was the happiest being with the family, friends and her sweet grandchildren and will be sadly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and will be by invitation only, due to the current restrictions in place. The funeral will be live streamed for those that cannot attend in person.
Donations in Sandra’s memory are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute, or a donation of one’s choice.

I shall smile as I remember Sandra chatting about family and at Christmas I will smile as I hang some of her handmade ornaments on my tree. May your happy memories help to shelter your sadness.
