Gillam, Rudolph William – Age 92, Truro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Known as “Rudy,” he was born on June 10, 1929 to the late Captain Michael Phillip Gillam and Solange Marie (Etcheverry) in St. Pierre & Miquelon.
Rudy was predeceased by his wife, Audrey Jeanine (Anderson); siblings, Howard, May and Ruben and daughter-in-law, Janet.
Rudy is survived by his children, Garry (Lisa) and their children, Clara and Cassie; Greg; David (Nancy) and their children, Emma and Hanna; Denise (Paul) and their children, Ben and Mya.
Rudy was a prominent optician who owned R.W. Gillam Optical Ltd. on Prince Street. He was one of the original licensed opticians in Nova Scotia.
Rudy was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the RCAF Association in Truro.
