Ruby Claxton October 3 1933 – May 7 2021

It is with deep sadness that the family of Ruby Claxton announce her passing on May 7, 2021 in her 88th year. Ruby is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Claxton, parents Theodore and Sarah Pye, brothers Fredrick and William Pye, sister-in-law Greta, brothers-in-law Edric Ash, Harvey Holloway, Albert Bowen, Lewis Williams and niece Karen Bailey. Left with fond and loving memories are her children David (Carol Ann), Melanie (Kurt) Carmichael, Janice (Jeffery) Saunders; sisters Florence Ash, Betty Holloway, Theodora Bowen (Garfield Sellers), Joyce Williams; brother Abel (Sharon) Pye; sister-in-law Rosalind Pye (Mansfield Oldford); grandchildren Samantha (Roger) Rajmoolie, Christa Corriveau Keough, Clarence (Robin) Keough, Sarah Saunders; great grandchildren Ethan Keough, Seth Keough, Sabrina Rajmoolie, Sebastian Rajmoolie; and a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home Lethbridge. Visitation will take place on Monday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Tuesday morning 10-12 pm. by invitation only. Covid-19 regulations will be followed.
A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at Fewer’s Funeral home in Lethbridge at 2:00 pm on Tuesday May 11, 2021. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Brooklyn by invitation only.
Ruby’s family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the medical staff and caregivers at Agnus Pratt Home, especially Pratt Place Unit. The love, kindness and care you gave Ruby was exceptional and we will be eternally grateful.
Heaven has another angel. We thank God for giving us memories so that our loved ones can still be with us.
