It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a Brother and Uncle, Robert Gould of East Point, Catalina, who passed on Tuesday, August 2, 2021 after a lengthy illness with Parkinsons Disease. Rob is pre-deceased by his Father and Mother, Hermon and Mary Ann (Walters) Gould, and his brothers Ricky, and James Gould (Vina), his Brother in Law, William Hunt (Maude) and his Nephew Robert Hunt. Rob leaves to mourn his Sister Maude (Gould) Hunt (Clarenville) and his Brother Lester Gould (Stella) of Ramea, Sister-in-Law Vina Gould; Nephews Barry (Roxanne Martin) Hunt of Bonavista, Rick (Charlene) Hunt of British Columbia, Michael (Melanie Barnes) Hunt, Clarenville; Peter Gould (Erika) St. John’s, Stephen Gould of Ramea; Nieces Mary (Dwayne) Chaulk of Clarenville; Barbara Hunt-Skiffington of Clarenville, Michelle (Jason Parsons) Gould of Oro-Medonte Ontario. Rob also leaves behind many close friends and family. Rob lived his life in Winnipeg working as a Graphic Art’s Technician with GB Graphics and moved home to retire. He resided on East Point, for six years before moving to private home care at Shirley’s Haven, Catalina in 2014 and then recently transferred to Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista. Rob was an avid angler, and loved the quiet of a fishing pole beside his favorite trouting holes on Roaring Cove, King’s Cove Road and up the country at home, and often fished and Ice fished while living in Winnipeg. He was rarely without his camera taking vivid and unique shots of life around him. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Strathies Funeral Home, Catalina, with a service being held on Saturday, August 14 at 11:00 AM from the funeral home.
Flowers will be gladly accepted.
