Obituary
Richard Sanderson, our beloved husband, father, brother and uncle sadly passed away peacefully in Pasqua Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan. Leaving behind his wife Augusta and son Richard Sanderson Jr, sister Edith McKee and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother Frank and Laura Sanderson, siblings; Walter, Jack, George, David, Tony, Kathy and Rosie.
He was born in Ste Rose Du Lac, Manitoba and grew up in Meadow Portage, Manitoba with his family of ten. Richard was a hard worker all throughout his life, fishing in Meadow Portage, working forestry in Manitoba both for numerous years. As well as driving courier for ten years in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Later in life he worked for the Regina Housing Authority in Saskatchewan. He was also always doing something and loved working with his hands.
Richard was also an Evangelist and Preacher traveling all throughout Manitoba and other provinces, and wherever he was sent. He loved the Lord and it was also this way when he met his wife Augusta on his birthday July 4, 1987. They married on December 3, 1988 and were married for 32 years.
Richard loved to laugh and was always willing to help others and those in need. Never turning anyone away. He was also faithful and was a strong shoulder to lean on. He will be missed sorely by his family and friends and all those that knew him.
Wake Services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 7:00pm until 11:00pm and Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 7:00pm until 11:00pm at the Blessings Church 621 College Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Funeral Service will be held at Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Home Ste Rose Du Lac on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00am with interment at Meadow Portage Cemetery following the service.
