Richard’s Obituary
Brooks, Richard Benjamin – 66, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at home with his wife and family at his side. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Eunice (Acker) Brooks. Richard liked spending time doing yard work where he was very particular with his yard and flowers, working on cars, fishing, going for long drives, and most of all sitting at Needs in Middleton. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Richard’s nickname from Anna was Pumba, her one and only. He was survived by his wife of 38 years, Anna; sons Josh (Sissly), New Albany; Matt, Paradise; step daughter Melinda Bent, Edmonton; grandchild Troy (Nictaux); great grandchildren Joshua Jr; Tiana, Troy, Landon, Pasily, Noah, Jackson, and Alexander; sisters Wendy, Middleton; Cindy, Ontario; Sharon, Paradise; brothers Billy, Edmonton; Jimmy and Michael, both of Toronto; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Mary-Lynn and Susan; brothers Frank and Russell. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held a later date.
