Rhoda Lorraine Mildred Rudderham MacDonald 2021

Rhoda Lorraine Mildred (Rudderham) MacDonald died September 17, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a very short battle with cancer.
Rhoda was born on April 16, 1943, to now predeceased parents, Wilson Louis Rudderham and Ann Elizabeth (Dixon) Rudderham.
Rhoda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Pius William MacDonald and her only daughter, Fonda Lorraine MacQuarrie. Mammy’s granddaughters are Andrea Couture, Jennifer (Alex) Hogan and Caitlin MacQuarrie, and her three great-grandchildren are Maisie, Madeline and Jackson Hogan. Rhoda is also survived by her siblings, Margaret Collins, Doreen King, Gary, Lana (Cormier), James (Jimmy), Carol Richardson, Holly Mombourquette and Richard.
Rhoda was predeceased by her sister, Karen (Putt), brother, Alistair and infant siblings, Fonda and Melvin.
Always a lady who stood proudly with grace and dignity, Rhoda was always welcoming to those around her. She was compassionate, kind, strong and caring. She was an amazing woman, wife and grandmother/great-grandmother (Mammy).
Rhoda was brave through the struggle with cancer and made sure everyone around her knew how much she loved them. She will be missed and the world will not be the same without her in it.
There will be no formal service or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of CBRH.
