With heavy hearts the family of René U. Chevalier announces his passing on September 17th, 2021 at the age of 72.
René enjoyed life alongside his wife of 50 years Denise. René will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Jacqueline (Paul Zanon) and Colleen (Bryan Van Brabant); grandchildren Zach, Reese and Aurora Zanon and Emma, Cade and Ty Van Brabant.
René was the much-loved son of Ubald and Odelie Chevalier (deceased) and younger brother of Maurice (deceased), O’Neil Chevalier (Simonne), Joanne Maurier (Claude) and younger sister Denise Semenchuk (Don O’Neil). He had true friendships with Denise’s family and was adored by all of his numerous nieces and nephews.
René also had a great collection of friends- once befriended; you were in his circle for life. He will be terribly missed by his family and friends. René loved the community of Morinville and dedicated his life to making it a wonderful place to live.
René loved the outdoors, could fix anything and had a unique sense of humour that won’t soon be forgotten.
A Private Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on September 25, 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions it will be by invite only.
