Ralph’s Obituary
Tattrie, Ralph – James Ralph Tattrie of Tatamagouche passed away on the 4th of June, 2021 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Tatamagouche September 5, 1942, he was a son of the late Harold and Beulah Tattrie. There are no words to explain the loss that we will have. He was a loving husband and a supportive father and friend to all. For a man without much, he has touched the lives of many. He will be missed by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Cecilia (Purdy) Tattrie; his children, Carlotta (Jamie), Gilbert (Tracy), Cory (Iris) and Matthew (Selena); 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Roger (Rose) and Wayne (Gloria) and Frankie (Carol); sisters, Joan (Geoff), Rose (Peter), Peggy, Brenda and Mary Ann; brothers-in-law, Terry and Cyril; sisters-in-law, Dale (Ronnie) and Linda (Silas); many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ralph was predeceased by brothers, Dickson and Billy and sisters, Florence Miller and Marie Blenkhorn. We would like to extend our thanks to Martha Ferguson and the staff of the Tatamagouche Hospital and the Willow Lodge for their loving care during his illness. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche (902-657-3288). As with Ralph’s request, no public visitation or funeral service will be held. Memorial donations to Willow Lodge or Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences can be sent the family by following the links on this web page.
He never looked for praises, he was never one to boast,
He just went on quietly working for the ones he loved the most.
His dreams were seldom spoken, his wants were very few,
And most of the time his worries went unspoken too.
He was there…a firm foundation, through all our storms in life,
A sturdy hand to hold on to, in times of stress or strife.
A true friend we could turn to, when times were good and bad,
One of our greatest blessings, this man we call husband and dad
